It’s the birthday of the megastar, the “Shehenshah” of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan. This is one man who does not need an introduction whatsoever. According to his Wikipedia page, he is an Indian film actor, film director, film producer, music composer, television host, and former politician but more than that he is a man who has won the hearts of millions across the world, across all demography with age and background being no bar.
As he completes his seventy-sixth revolution around the sun, “Shehenshah” of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan marked his birthday in what can only be called unique. He tweeted an interview transcript through which he condemns sexual harassment and calls out for strict measures to protect from incidents of workplace harassment.

This statement was long awaited by his fans while he was widely criticized for not speaking out on the Tanushree Dutta – Nana Patekar controversy.
However, “Shehenshah” of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan broke his silence on his birthday when he said “No woman should ever be subjected to any kind of misbehavior, or disorderly conduct; especially at her workplace. Such acts should immediately be brought to the notice of concerned authorities, and corrective measures are taken, either through filing complaints or a recourse to law. Discipline and civic, social and moral curriculums, should be adopted at a very early educational level. Women children and the weaker sections of our society are the most vulnerable. They need to be under special protective care. It has been most heartening to see women representations in most work vocations, on the increase in our country. It would be an unrepairable blemish if we are not able to provide them the welcome they deserve and the dignity of the security of their presence.”
We still do not know who this interview was given to but this heartfelt message on the occasion of his birthday did have an impact.
