Shershaah, which is more than two hours long, focuses on Vikram Batra’s valor as a soldier, but to make it entertaining for the common people, the love story has also been threaded in a tight manner. Vikram Batra (Siddharth Malhotra), studying in a college in Chandigarh, falls in love with Sikh-Bala Dimple (Kiara Adnani). Which gradually reaches the intention of marriage, but Dimple’s father does not approve of the relationship. Despite this, when it seems that this love will reach a happy end, only then the Kargil war starts and Vikram, who came to meet the family members, immediately returns to duty. When the friend tells him to return early, Vikram’s answer is: I’ll either come back after raising the Tricolour or wrapped in it.
Shershaah director Vishnuvardhan has filmed Captain Vikram Batra‘s bravery in detail and focused on his role in the rescue of two peaks captured by the Pakistanis. While going on a war mission, Captain Vikram Batra gets the codeword, Sher Shah. To his senior’s question, what will be the signal from his side if the mission is successful, Batra’s answer is “Yeh Dil Maange More”. First Nayak Point 5140 frees the peak from Pakistanis and then Point 4875. The liberation of Point 4875 from the Pakistanis directly meant the end of the war because from this post the enemy could control the area up to 70 km into the Indian border. Before the Pakistani army could reach here with fresh weapons and logistics, Captain Batra and his detachment played their lives in destroying the Pakistani post at Point 4875. In this, he was martyred. Batra was only 24 years old then. Point 4875 is counted among the most dangerous war sites in the world.
In Shershaah’s movie, The entire operation of the Kargil war is presented in an engaging manner, and the action sequences are realistically portrayed. The film transports the audience to the battleground. The role of young Vikram Batra is beautifully played by Sidharth Malhotra and his acting is good here. He is frozen in the stature of a soldier. At the same time, Kiara Advani also looks serious in the role of Dimple. The other supporting actors are right in their respective places. The story, screenplay and dialogues of Shershaah are written by Sandeep Srivastava. He has done his job successfully. Kamaljit Negi took complete control of the camera and brought the battle scenes to life. The action sequences are also thrilling here. August 15 is coming and it is the time of patriotism. In such a situation, Shershaah is definitely the film of this season.
