India Science Technology and Innovation Portal will be formed to help to find the queries related to scientific importance. The queries such as climate change research, latest innovative discoveries etc.

The portal can be queried for the information related to the organization that is carrying out the research. Also, the queries related to funding given to the organization for research purposes. The ministry also launches the website that is “indiascience.in”, an internet-based science channel, to project the innovation and development in science and technology in India. This will help them to pick from the bucket of scholarships and funding, fellowships, and startup opportunities.

Roadmap For Maintenance

The Union Science Ministry proposed to spend almost Rs 15 crore for the maintenance of the portal. Also, this budget will help for regular development and updates of the portal for over 5 years. The roadmap will obviously prove as an asset for the development of science and technology in future aspect. So, there is a greater need for Portal for scientific innovation.

From next year, the ministry plans to launch the science programme on Doordarshan. After that, it plans to launch a dedicated science channel for the enrichment for the common people.
