In a recent interview, Nawazuddin Siddiqui insults critics of Sacred Games 2. Unlike his usual, professional and friendly behavior Nawazuddin criticized the so-called critics of the popular TV Show Sacred Games. He agreed that the second season of the popular show was a little boring. However, he says that he tried his level best to make the show as good as possible for the viewers.
Nawazuddin’s Reply to critics
The second season of Sacred Games launched to harsh critic reviews as well as mediocre audience reviews. The fans admitted that the storyline was confusing and kind of boring. When Nawazuddin was asked about the public reaction he gave this reply:
“Who are these people? I only take criticism from people who are of my standard. Today, every second person is there to criticize. Yes, I know the show got a little boring but these people criticizing, do they have knowledge of cinema? I can take criticism when the person has equal or more knowledge of cinema. Won’t listen to any ‘aira naira natu girl’. Anyone criticizes today, I am a trained actor, I do not take criticism from anyone.”
This might be the first time that Nawazuddin Siddiqui gave such a reaction to his work. As per him, he tried to give his best and that is all that should matter.
He admitted to the fact that Ganesh Gaitonde is an extremely negative character and he will not play the role anymore, thereby shattering any hopes of a third season.
“People are okay watching vulgar songs and scenes but when it comes to abuses said by a character which goes with its traits, people cannot take it,” said Nawazuddin.
Well, the interview where Nawazuddin Siddiqui insults critics made one thing clear. Even if there is a season three in the making, the role of Ganesh Gaitonde would have to be played by someone else as Nawazuddin will not be available to play the role.
