All seems to be going well for the home country as India continues to dominate Bangladesh on the 2nd day of the first test. After winning the T20 Trophy, India now looks to defeat Bangladesh in the 2 tests to maintain their first spot in the Test Championship. In addition, Mayank Agarwal hits double ton to add to Bangladesh’s troubles.
India vs Bangladesh Test 1 Day 2

On Day 1, India bowled out Bangladesh at a base score of 150. This was possible with the help of Ashwin, Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav who picked up equal wickets in exception of Shami who picked 3 wickets. We also had a fantastic run out by Jadeja. The Indian bowling unit restricted Bangladesh to a score of 150.
The Indian openers Rohit and Agarwal came down to bat. India suffered an early loss of Rohit Sharma who got out scoring only 6 runs. Mayank and Pujara took thinks under control and secured a hundred run partnership. As of Day 2, Pujara got out at 54 runs while Mayank Agarwal hits a doubleton. He scored 243 runs before losing his wicket to Mahedy Hasan. The 28-year-old Karnataka batsmen achieved this milestone in 303 deliveries with the help of 25 fours and 5 sixes. He is the second-highest run scored in tests this year close behind Steve Smith. Virat Kohli was unable to give any contribution and got out at a duck. Rahane added 86 runs to the total while Ravindra Jadeja added 60* at the end of Day 2.
At the end of Day 2, India find themselves with a lead of 343 runs. The Day 3 might turn into the resultant day if Indian bowlers bowl with the same aggression like that in the 1st innings.
