Kangana and Arnab had an explosive discussion recently on Republic TV and it has thrown everyone into a conundrum thinking whether to watch movies of Bollywood honchos or to boycott them.
Kangana and Arnab: Nation Knows A Lot, Let Nation Now Decide!
In a fiery discussion with Republic TV Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami, Kangana talked a lot about power monopoly where she blatantly highlighted two big names (Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar). Her statements have caused reverberations and it is presumably going to put Bollywood bigwigs into a sticky wicket. The discussion revolved around Sushant Singh Rajput’s sad demise and along with the praise that has been showered to Kangana, there is a flip side that has also cast its shadow.
Kangana and Arnab’s Discourse’s Aftermath
It is very difficult to believe that Kangana and Arnab’s discourse has mustered criticisms as well from none other than their staunch supporters. Some tweets and Instagram comments have labeled her as a person ‘firing gun from a dead man’s shoulder’. Here is a sensitive responsibility that the media has to take. A section of society is opining that Kangana and Arnab’s exchange of dialogue has made ‘drama’ out of Sushant Singh’s Rajput’s tragic demise and it is making Sushant’s family more and more uncomfortable at times they need condolences. Some people simply want media to show and talk in a restrained manner as apart from being an actor, the person (Sushant) was a normal human whose family deserves support and solace like anybody else’s clan.
Another quagmire that arises here is, no questions can be raised without conversations and no one can be put in a tight spot, until and unless hard-hitting queries are raised on the face. But what steps to take when such a sensitive and indispensable topic includes human emotions that are being hurt?
Kangana and Arnab did talk about everything and went on a limb even after getting flak from a certain section of society. Presumably because Kangana’s perception is to bring things in the public domain even if it’s unwontedly making some people cringe and others distressed.
Is it okay to talk about someone’s demise at the cost of hurting the emotions and sensitivity of his clan, to make life in Bollywood less toxic for remaining? Or something should impede media from going so open? Let me know your views through the comment’s section!
