Even though almost half a dozen of West Indies main player weren’t playing like Dwayne Bravo,Pollard and many more West Indies in their first innings were able to score more than 300 runs. They scored a total of 323 runs.
It was K powell who scored 51 runs and Hetmyer who scored a century (106) runs in the match. In the end Jason Holder and Kemar Roach with their quick hitting helped West Indies to the respected total of 323 for a loss of 8 wickets
Indian Innings
From the Indian innings not many players got a chance. In the beginning it seemed like West Indies had got their way when they bowled out Shikhar Dhawan in just the second over. After the wicket fell, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma didn’t let the team feel the pressure. They both scored centurion innings and let the team to victory.
It was Virat Kohli who scored 140 runs and Rohit Sharma who scored an unbeaten 152 runs and finally Ambati Rayudu who remained not out at 22 runs.
With the 152 Rohit has now scored 150+ runs 6 times in his ODI career. Virat Kohli with 140 runs is now closer than ever to reach 10000 runs. He will be the fastest to score these runs if he scores them in this series itself.
Well, things look really good for the Indian team who after a successful test series are now looking to win the ODI series too.
