Before starting this narrative on Enola, it should be clear that this is not any kind of review. This is just a perception of the movie and completely an individual’s thought.
Although Enola movie did not create any cinematic magic or set any benchmark for streaming platforms, There have been some things in the movie that are worth cherishing. First and foremost is the great looking Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes. The casting is pitch-perfect. There could not be anyone else who could do complete justice to this role.
The second amazing thing about Enola is the atmospherics that it is set in. The breathtaking woods and the castle in which Enola resides before starting off her journey to London have a surreal charm. The landscape will make you recall those nursery rhymes which you must have studied in kindergarten. Extending to atmospherics, the London of 1800s is another magnificent scene to watch. The clothes, the squares, lamposts, and the whole aura is what defines a complete English country, and Enola has showed it. The camera has gazed at everything that is more than beautiful.
The Clever Writing Of The Movie Enola
Another highlight of the movie is feminist writing and characters in the flick. There have been women in the past who have risked their lives to include women in places when legal pacts were constructed where constructed women were not even mentioned. Character of Eudoria Holmes (played by Helena Bonham Carter) has done wonders. The way she has acted and the way this character is written has embodied an emancipated woman. Nonetheless, Enola’s (portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown) was also an attempt and hard work in the right direction. The movie has promised an ambitious project if the same or similar collaborators gears up for another construction.
