It’s not a secret that Priyanka Chopra was earlier chosen to star opposite Salman Khan for his movie ‘Bharat’ but the dates of the movie’s shoot was overlapping with Priyanka’s wedding dates. When prodded about it, the director’s epigram was ‘’ it was difficult to accommodate the date changes as “Bharat” was already scheduled to release on Eid this year.’’ This was Ali’s response when he was enquired about the sudden exit of Priyanka Chopra from the film. The directed also said “She had a genuine reason. She was going through something very special in her personal life. It was affecting our dates. If we would have accommodated her into the film, it wouldn’t be releasing on Eid this year.”
Further, the director and the actress still share a close bond. He said that there is no dent between Priyanka and him. Both have earlier collaborated in the movie ‘Gundey’. Ali Abbas Zafar supported Priyanka and said that they both will collaborate for another movie project.
