It looks like Ajinkya Rahane cannot stop dreaming about the pink ball test that begins Friday. The test will take place in Kolkata in the famous Eden Garden Soil. The Pink Ball test will mark India’s first Day-night test. Rahane, the Vice-captain of Indian test squad took to Instagram to express his feelings about the Historic Pink Ball Test. He says:
“Already dreaming about the pink ball test.”
The captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Virat Kohli replied to his post saying “Nice post Jinsky”. Shikhar Dhawan, who is not a part of the test team against Bangladesh commented, “sapney mein pic khich gayi.”
The day-night test will begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue on till 9:00 p.m. Aforementioned is done to lure children who could not watch the match due to a clash between school and match timings.
Rahane scored a well-composed knock of 86 runs off 172 deliveries helping India win the first test match. He scored nine boundaries in his innings. In his career, Rahane has played 62 tests for India and scored 4061 runs with the help of 11 centuries and 21 half-centuries. His highest score is 188 and has a good average of 43.67.
Currently, India stands at the top of the World Test Championship with 300 points. They haven’t faced any loss till now. The difference between the points of first and second is a massive 240 points. They are way ahead of any other team. New Zealand stands at the 2nd position with just 60 points.
