India Vs West Indies 4th Odi was one of the best one sided match ever seen. Not at one point could you have said that West Indies was on the upper side. Let’s first see what were the squads of both teams.

It was the Indian team batting first. Rohit and Shikhar scored a 50+ partnership in which Shikhar scored 38 runs. Rohit Sharma went on to score 163 runs in the match. Virat Kohli, unfortunately got out at 16. Not every match can be seen as Virat’s match. Sometimes its Rohit Sharma’s day too. Well, along with Rohit Sharma it was Rayudu who scored an exact 100 runs before getting run out. Dhoni scored a quick 23 runs.

India in their innings scored a total of 377 runs for a loss of 5 wickets. West Indies now needed 378 runs to win.

West Indies innings

West Indies innings started really bad. They lost 5 batsmen for just 45 runs. Their main scoring abtsmen Shai Hope was run out and Hetmyer also got out pretty early. It wasn’t Jasprit Bumrah or Bhuvneshwar who got the breakthrough. It was Khalil Ahmed who took 3 wickets early in the match. Except for Jason Holder who scored a 50 none other batsmen were able to leave a mark. West Indies innings fell 9 run short of what Rohit Sharma scored alone. They got out at 153.

India won the match by 224 runs and with almost 14 overs remaining. It was a classic Indian dominated match not seen in a long time. Well, the victory is certainly gonna boost India’s morale and confidence for their upcoming challenge against Australia.
