Indian innings
It was India who was to bat first. Rohit and Shikhar went to the crease and this time Rohit Sharma failed to score runs in the match. He got out at just 4 runs. Shikhar played a fast inning of 29 out of 30 and is still trying to regain his form. From the Indian side, it was again the captain who stood till the end to score a massive 157 not out. Along with him, Rayudu played a wonderful 73 runs. Dhoni played a quick inning of 20 out of 25 balls and Pant in his first innings in an ODI match scored 17 out of 13 deliveries. India was able to score a total of 321 runs and West Indies were to chase it down to win the match.
From the West Indies side the bowlers Nurse and Mccoy each got 2 wickets while Roach got 1. Others failed to give an impact in India vs West Indies
West Indies innings
From the starting, it was evident that the Indians were missing the likes of Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar. The spinners were doing their job well while the pacers the pacers failed in theirs.
From the West Indies side, it was Shai Hope who was able to take West Indies to a very respectable tie. He was not out till the end and scored 123 out of 124 deliveries, just at the runner ball.
Hetymer, on the other hand, played a wonderful inning in which were mostly sixes. He scored 94 runs in his innings and was able to give West Indies the boost to chase the target easily.
Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets while Umesh, Sami and Chahal got 1 each. Jadeja remained wicketless. On the last ball, 5 runs were required on which Shai Hope scored a 4 run to tie the match all over.
Achievements
Virat Kohli in this match completed his 10000 runs in ODI cricket and has become the fastest person to do so. Before he was the god of cricket Sachin who did it in 260 innings while Virat has done it in 205 innings.
