The first season of the Netflix’s Sacred games was a huge hit amongst the fans. Netflix was not expecting such a good response from the first Indian series they produced. All credit goes to the performance and script. The good news is that the Sacred Games Season 2 has now been confirmed by Netflix in a most hilarious tweet.
As the first season finished on an open ending fans were really excited for the second season to come. Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, India’s first Netflix original was subjected to memes around hawaldar Katekar (Jitendra Joshi), Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), Anjali(Radhika Apte) and Bunty (Jatin Sarna).
Keeping up with the theme of the series Netflix confimed the second season in the most epic way possible. The tweet reads-:
“Now that Sacred Games has been renewed for a second season, please stop threatening us with Bunty’s”.

Not just this but a teaser was released on Netflix’s twitter account which didn’t reveal anything but teased the return of Ganesh Gaitonde in some form.
The 45-second teaser shows a mandala spinning around — it was a recurring motif in season 1 — as several characters from the show provide a voice over. “Do you believe in God,” asks Gaitonde, the larger-than-life gangster who died in the first episode of season 1, but returned in flashbacks to narrate his own story.
We also hear Saif Ali Khan’s Sartaj Singh, Neeraj Kabi’s Parulkar, and Radhika Apte’s RAW agent Anjali Mathur.

At the end of the teaser, the mandala stops spinning to reveal a new title design for the second season, complete with a numerical ‘2’ in the Devnagri script.
Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan) is a troubled police officer in Mumbai who receives a phone call from gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), who tells him to save the city within 25 days. The series chronicles the events that follow.
The cast of the series also includes Radhika Apte, Girish Kulkarni, Neeraj Kabi, Jeetendra Joshi, Rajshri Deshpande, Jatin Sarna, Elnaaz Norouzi and Kubra Sait in different roles.
There are a total of 8 episodes ranging from 50-60 minutes. This might be Saif Ali Khan’s best project till date as his acting was praised more than even Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s.
