As per reports, these applications are AnyDesk, Quick Support, and Team Viewer. These applications will give them the freedom to control your smartphone and will let them know your Paytm Password. They will then clear out your bank account in a row of transactions. They might also try to lure you by saying that you won a lucky draw and they need your details to transfer money to your account.
Around 2000 people have suffered due to this scam. Only 36% of 2000, approximately 700 people have seen their problems resolved. Others are being currently in a transaction by RBI and Paytm.
Ways to avoid this scam?

There are several ways through which you can avoid this scam. First of all, do not trust any other person other than your Paytm App. Paytm KYC happens either through doorstep or through Paytm verified shops.
Secondly, beware of apps that require you to fill the bank, Aadhar, and Mobile details. Beware of new apps that ask for your payment details. They will run away with your money only if you let them.
Finally, beware of KYC SMS on Whats App These are fraud messages who are trying to steal your hard-earned money.
