Mission Mangal is a Bollywood Movie starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Tapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sheman Joshi. The movie will release on Independence day this year. If you haven’t yet watched the trailer do so.
The story of the movie is really inspiring and very few people know about it. Very few people know about it. NASA launched a satellite to Mars spending close to Rs 6000. ISRO too successfully sent a satellite named ‘Mangalyan’ in 2014 at just a cost of Rs 450 crores. With the small use of common sense, they were able to reduce the cost by more than Rs 5500 crores.
The movie will be all about how a few imaginative and dreaming scientists are able to achieve that. Akshay Kumar plays the lead role of a senior scientist in the movie.
He said in a statement, “I get inspired when a film like this happens in front of me, What a brilliant story this is, inspired by a real incident. Few people know NASA sent a satellite to Mars spending 6000 crores while ISRO did it in only Rs 450 crores. Just see the difference. A little common sense and we saved a lot of money. Can you believe this story has not been told yet? I wanted to tell it and that’s why I came on board.”
The Akshay Kumar starrer will release in competition with Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhasc starrer Saaho. By its looks, the movie seems to be pretty fantastic and on the occasion of Independence Day, showing how ISRO is better than NASA is a really great thing.
Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) got inserted into Martian Orbit on September 2014 in its first attempt. No country has ever till date done that in their first attempt. On June 19, 2017, it completed its 1000 days orbiting Mars. You will get to know more about it in the Movie Mission Mangal which is a perfect name for such a movie.
