Honor Pad 5 launched in India: An alternative to ipad?

In India, the customers have a lot of choices in terms of a smartphone but when it comes to tablet, the choices reduce. Honor, a company going through hard times has launched the Honor Pad 5 at a very affordable price. Let’s discuss its features in detail.

Honor Pad 5 Specifications

The Honor Pad 5 comes in two different variants. One comes with the 8-inch display while the other has a 10-inch display. We will first discuss the features of Honor Pad having an 8-inch display. The Honor Pad 8-inch version comes with the Kirin 710 octa-core processor developed with 12nm technology. It comes in two Ram variants: 3 Gb Ram + 32 Gb storage and 4 Gb Ram + 64 Gb storage. In the camera department, there is an 8 M.P. camera on both rear and front side. The rear side camera supports auto-focus while the front camera lacks it.

The Honor Pad 5(10-inch) variant is powered by the Kirin 659 processor which is a downgrade to the Kirin 710 in 8-inch variant. It also comes in 3 Gb + 32 Gb and 4 Gb + 64 Gb variants. The device has got dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos Support, and the usual set of connectivity options, including voice calling support, 4G LTE, Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS. Other than the processor and screen size, both the tabs have similar specifications.

The pricing of the tabs is as follows. Honor Pad 5 (8-inch):

3 Gb + 32 Gb = Rs 15,499

4 Gb + 64 Gb = Rs 17,499

The pricing of Honor pad 5 (10-inch):

3 Gb + 32 Gb = Rs 16,999

4 Gb + 64 Gb = Rs 18,999

Alternative to iPad

The iPad 2018 version is available in India at a price of Rs 26,999. The iPad is powered by Apple A10 Bionic Chip which has power close to Snapdragon 845. The Kirin 710 in Honor Pad is not even close to the A10 chip in iPad. However, the pricing of both has a huge difference and the Honor Pad comes out to be a good choice if you want it for even gaming purposes. The Kirin 710 is well-efficient to run Pubg Mobile. It is the user’s mind and choice to decide between the two. The new Honor tablet is a much more pocket-friendly option while the iPad is a much powerful one.
