We celebrated our 72nd Independence day on 15th August 2018 and to celebrate that many many people flew kites like every time. This year due to it being a non-rainy day and the weather being perfectly fine the day was spent well. One thing that was new was the burning of crackers. This year along with flying kites, in the night people started burning a lot of crackers. The amount was so much that the air started smelling polluted. In this blog we are here to discuss whether it is necessary for burning crackers on Independence day along with many burning more than a ton of it on Diwali.
(1) Celebrating our Independence
This article has been written because there are many people who were resisting questions on if it was necessary to burn crackers on Independence day. In return we ask a question. Is it necessary to cut thousands of trees and harm our environment everyday? Is it necessary to throw untreated waste in the river which pollutes it badly.
People burst crackers only on special occasions like Diwali and nowadays Independence day too. On observing a fact was uncovered that most of the crackers were burst during the time period of 7-8 pm. Then it was at rest. Thus, was the environment really polluted?
People just wanted to celebrate their independence day as they wanted and they have all right to do so.
(2) Perfect ending to a day!
Many people might say its just more polluting but burning crackers on Independence day in short amount along with the Lal-Ten that flies high into the sky, actually makes the sky look beautiful. People just believe what they hear. It is only Diwali you should be careful about and now due to the ban on crackers by Modi government Diwali is mostly pollution free too.
Thus the idea of people burning crackers on Independence day after flying kites is something we can actually get used to. As compared to 10 years ago, not many people burst crackers on Independence Day but now as it is happening you should burn crackers in a limited amount thus not harming the environment.
