(1) Bhuli Bhatiyari

5 most haunted places in Delhi

Bhuli Bhatiari is a jungle sort of place located near Jhandewalan metro station. In the morning till the afternoon there’s even a bagga link services store opened but after the sun sets nobody even dares to step in the place. An RJ who had been to many haunted places and was given a challenge to go visit Bhuli Bhatiyari wasn’t able to complete the dare at night as the place becomes seriously very very chilling and scary at night.

The Bhuli Bhatiyari Mahal which is just 100 metres down the road is the most haunted place in there.

This structure is claimed to be the most haunted place in Delhi. There are no metal gates to be locked. The only thing that guards this massive structure is a note written at entrance, which tells people to not to come near this place after sunset.

You might wonder if the place is that dangerous then why isn’t there any guard near it. That’s because no guard has survived even 2-3 days in the job. There’s something chilly and suspicious actually about that place.

(2) Delhi Cantonment

Delhi Cantonment is considered as one of the safest places of Delhi due to the military forces there. But if the rumors and stories revolving around the place are true then the word safe can’t be used for the place.

Many people have claimed to see a ghastly woman wrapped in a white saree asking for a lift and when denied so, following the car with matching speed of the car.

(3) Agrasen ki Baoli

5 most haunted places in Delhi

Creepiest of all the haunted places in Delhi, this Baoli is claimed to be a residence of evils. Once filled with black mystical water who lured people to commit suicide in it by drowning, this 104 level step-well gives you creep the further you descend the steps. You may feel the presence of other beings or some unaccounted noises around you.

On personal visit in the morning everything seemed just fine but when the sun sets the place is closed and noone is allowed inside. The shooting of a  scene of the film PK took there and Anushka Sharma saw something which made her scream really bad and she was even crying after that incident.

(4) Khooni Darwaza

If you are a horror film fan then this is the best place and setting for you. There have been many cases that screams can be heard near the place.

Blood-curdling screams and anguished cries can be heard around this historical monument, many a time. There are many different versions of the reasons behind this ghostly presence in this most exposed haunted place in Delhi, like brutal murder of three princes and hanging of freedom fighters by Englishmen. Whatever the reason is, the sudden drop in temperature and apparitions through walls of this gate can give you chills to the bones.

(5) The Haunted Tree of Dwarka Sector 9

5 most haunted places in Delhi

Ever driven past the notorious ‘haunted tree’ near the Dwarka Sector 9 metro station in the wee hours of the night? The unfortunate few who have, (including various people who work in MNCs and call centers) had often reported seeing a strange figure literally running with their car or suddenly getting slapped on the face by something (or someone!) they couldn’t see. Spooked yet? Well, these are just some of the spine-chilling tales associated with this tree that start pouring in like crazy the moment you type ‘Dwarka haunted tree’ on the internet.

And if the ghost stories aren’t enough to freak you out of your wits, you might as well know that the tree is responsible for some really nasty bike and car accidents in that curve where it’s located, even in the day! Would you have the guts to go check it out? Creepiness apart, the tree and the adjoining Hindu temple do make for some great places to visit. But make sure you visit in the day!

Do you have what it takes to visit these places in the night. Just kidding. Ghosts are something which even science can’t explain. If you are not some professional then it is highly recommended that you don’t interfere in-between things that doesn’t involve you
