Ever imagined Varun Dhawan with a moustache and staying in the old ‘mohallas’ of typical India? Well, this is what Sui Dhaaga will show you as the first scene in the trailer. Anushka Sharma is playing his spouse and is seen in a De-Glam avatar as a woman next door. With veil on the head and shabby sarees, Anushka is portraying the role of a typical housewife from orthodox Indian society.

The trailer unveils that this is going to be the story of an average man in a small town struggling to get a job. How the person believes in himself and goes on to be self-employed with the conviction in his mind and a support of his life-partner is somewhat the bottom line of the flick. Sui Dhaaga is definitely going to touch the emotional chords of the viewers. The trailer is clearly displaying the emotions that we expect to be in the movie. This movie is also taking the ‘Make In India’ initiative further and will definitely empower people to use home country products.

The trailer also suggests that how important the role of a wife could be in the person’s life, especially when the husband goes through the financial struggle. Sui Dhaaga is based on the needle-thread as the base-line is hinting at the importance of Indian handicrafts and arts which is vanishing quickly due to the increase in the sale of modern products. It is hopefully emphasizing on the fact that our art and craft like embroidery and threadwork should be valued and preserved. The noticeable things in the movie are the patched walls and the surroundings of the small town where the couple resides with other members of their family.
Sui Dhaaga will go on floors on 28th September 2018. The leading cast of the movie are Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma with Manish Sharma and Sharat Kataria as directors. Watch the trailer below.
