Shah Rukh Khan in his successful career has seen a lot of movies which were panned by critics and strongly not watched by people. In a recent inrerview he said that those movies did not sadden him that much like what Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan’s ridicule has saddened him. Shah Rukh Khan protects Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.
He said that Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are two of the best entertainers in the history of Indian cinema. Not all movies can be great. If we look carefully Aamir Khan’s past few movies have been a hit among the audiences and also the critics. His current movie which was the highest grossing movie on first day in the history of bollywood was seriously given bad reviews by both audiences and critics. There were a lot of harsh comments.
He added, “The greatest contribution to Hindi cinema in the last 10 years has been from Aamir, and with Amitji, it’s been even longer. Now if a film of theirs (Thugs of Hindostan) doesn’t reach the level that you expected it to, does it take away from what they have done for cinema? I think some people have been a little too harsh. It’s heartbreaking. It doesn’t mean that their spirit is broken, they are all amazing artistes who will bounce back.”
Infact he appraised the stars for trying to create such a movie. In his words he said that since 1963, the era of black and white movies, there have been no adventure genre movies created by bollywood producers. Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan should be praised for trying to do so even though the movie did not go as planned with the audience they should not be ridiculed so hard.
Shah Rukh Khan is not wrong . When any bollywood movie goes flop people start blaming the actors. They should understand it takes a lot more than just actors to create a movie and no actor in his right mind would do a film he thinks wouln’t be liked by the audiences. It not his/her fault the movie is a flop.
Thugs of Hindostan after the first day and bad reviews has flopped on the box office. It ha sbeen able to collect 130 crores till now. Once again Shah Rukh Khan should be praised for his good humanity and trying to save a fellow actor’s image.
