The day 2 of the first India Vs West Indies test match out of the two test match series also turned out to be deeply in favour of India. India started out with 454-4 with Rishab Pant and Virat Kohli on strike.

Virat Kohli and Rishab Pant had a really good partnership. Virat completed his ton and became the highest run scorer in the Indian innings scoring 139 runs before losing his wicket to Sherman Lewis. It was then Pant and Ravindra Jadeja on the crease. pant continued to play in his famous manner, hitting big shots.

In a hurry to complete his century, he lost his wicket to Devendra Bishoo at a total of 92 runs.

Jadeja hits first ton

Jadeja along with the other tailenders, for the first time in his international career hit a century. The tailenders Ravi Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav helped him reach his century. He was able to achieve his 100 because of the fours and sixes he hit. He was really delighted on completing his century and did the sword action with the bat to show his delight. Not only did he scored his first century but also scored it in his hometown Rajkot.

Bishoo takes 4 wickets

Devendra Bishoo was the only West Indies bowler who was able to keep Indian batsmen to score much runs. He took 4 wickets in the first innings including the wickets of Shaw,Pant,Ashwin and kuldeep Yadav.

West Indies lose 6 wickets at the end

The West Indies could not compensate for what blunder they did in their bowling. The openers got out at just 2 and 1 runs. The batting fell apart and their current score at the end of day 1 is 94-6. Paul is currently batting and it seems like nothing can now save west Indies from getting a follow on other than a double ton innings from their leftover batsmen which seems impossible.

Well, it seems like things are going in India’s favour in the series.
