India has done it again. The last time was an easy win against Pakistan. This India vs Pakistan match bore the same result as last time. Only the path to that result was a bit different. Still, Pakistan lost to India by 9 wickets.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against India in the Super Four match at Dubai. It was a cautious start from Pakistan. In the sixth over, the scoreboard reflected their caution against the Indian pacers because they had amassed a score of 20/0 in that over.
All this changed in the eighth over when Chahal trapped Imam ul Haq. The Umpire gave a not out. But after a review, it was quite clear. There is no shock in the fact that Dhoni was the one to give the advice for a review to Rohit Sharma. Two more wickets fell in the fourteenth and fifteenth overs.
Pakistan brought up the score to a 100 in the 27th over and 150 in the 37th over. Another wicket fell in the 38th over. Shoaib Malik was dismissed in the 43rd over for 78 runs. Wickets were lost in the 44th and 49th over. This led to a total of 237/7 at the end of the 50th over.
India’s start was slow as well. In the fourth over they amassed a score of 18/0. Rohit Sharma pulled off the first sixer for India in the 5th over. In the same over, a catch was dropped. India had gone up to 53 in 10 overs and 100 in 19 overs. Sharma scored a 50 in 21 overs and a hundred in 32 overs was achieved by Shikhar Dhawan. This was his 15th in the ODI.
