This week’s Monday Night Raw was one of the best in recent times. We got to see Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley go one-on-one again to get a chance to face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Although Bobby Lashley had an advantage as he had already won a match against Reigns at Extreme Rules, Reigns again proved whose yard it is. Reigns with a finisher spear-won the match and sealed another Brock Lesnar Vs Roman Reigns match at Summerslam.
It all started when Reigns won the Royal Rumble in 2014 and went on to face Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31 in which Rollins cashed in and won the match. It was the best fight of the year with the fans who always boo Roman Reigns also cheering him for his fantastic performance, kicking out of 3 F5’s.
Brock Lesnar won the title from Goldberg at Wrestlemania 33 and hasn’t lost it since beating C.m. Punk’s record 434 days of holding the championship. At Wrestlemania 34 Brock Lesnar Vs Roman reigns happened once again and Lesnar won the match leaving Reigns in a pool of his own blood. It was the worst defeat Roman Reigns had faced in his entire life.
Although he lost at Wrestlemania again he was provided with a chance to recapture the WWE Universal title at the biggest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia in a Steel Cage match which ended in a controversial ending as Reigns speared Lesnar through the steel cage onto the floor. Although roman’s feet had touched the floor first the referee gave the win to Brock Lesnar for which he apologized later which meant that Reigns even though had won the title had to face unluck that time.
So now the stage has been set. It is going to be the last time Reigns faces Lesnar as Lesnar is rumoured to shift to UFC to capture the UFC title. This will be the last chance Roman Reigns will have to prove himself. Although WWE is scripted as many know the Brock Vs Roman fights can’t be predicted beforehand as they always turn wrong.
