Advertising Standards Council Of India probed 209 big companies and found out many big names who are doing the misleading advertisements. Unfortunately, currently favorites of Indians in the realm of mobile services, Reliance Jio has also been booked in this field.
In one of its add, Jio claimed to be one of the largest and the best network in the world. This statement does not bear any proof and thus the legal watchdogs have made judgments against the network. This has now got Jio under legal troubles.
Mukesh Ambani led industry network does carry the huge amount of data and that is actually the largest amount of data in the world. But this does not anyway makes certain or provides proof that JIO is the best network on the global platform.
Moreover, Chinese mobiles have proven that they have more subscribers than Jio. This is a heavy and strong statement which is capable of suing Jio with all the facts and figures. Airtel’s complain is also a big reason that has taken Jio under legal troubles as Airtel played an introductory role to highlight this fact.
On the other hand. Jio has said that the claims by Airtel are frivolous and these allegations are purely made to distract users. Jio has submitted some evidence to claim that whatever they have said in the advertisements bears solid ground.
The company is also expecting favorable outcomes. Jio in legal troubles has created a wave in the news world but the company is standing encouraged and with confidence. Other big names that have been pulled up in this realm are Pepsico, Hindustan Unilever and Spicejet.
Most of the advertisers have promised to take corrective actions as soon as possible in these adds. Pepsico has been booked regarding ‘Quaker Oats Advertisement’ while Hindustan Unilever is facing scrutiny regarding its soap advertisements.
