The 2nd  India Vs West Indies test match has been an absolute roller coster ride. It is the 3rd day and till now both squads have performed really well. First of all let’s take a look at both squads.

Indian team

Prithvi Shaw, Lokesh Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur

West Indies team

Kraigg Brathwaite, Kieran Powell, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer, Sunil Ambris, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich, Jason Holder, Devendra Bishoo, Jomel Warrican, Shannon Gabriel

1st Innings

West Indies was the first one to bat. In their innings the openers failed to give much of a start and other than Roston Chase who scored a total 106 runs, none other batsmen were able to score much runs. The second highest run scorer from the West Indies side was the captain Jason Holder who scored 52 runs. West Indies scored a total 311 runs.

From the Indian bowling side it was Umesh Yadav who picked up 6 wickets and Kuldeep who picked 3 wickets. Ashwin got 1 while Jadeja and Shardul Thakur remained wicketless.

It was now the time for Indians to bat. In came Prithvi Shaw and Lokesh Rahul. Rahul due to his bad form got bowled out by Jason Holder at just 4 runs. Pujara too lost his wicket early at 10 runs. It was then Shaw and Kohli who took it upon themselves and took the Indian innings forward. While Shaw hit a promising 70 runs, Kohli got out early at 45 runs. Then, in the middle order Ajinkya Rahane and Rishab Pant scored a good partnership. Rahane scored 80 while Pant again got out at 92 runs.

Jadeja got out at 0 runs and Ashwin scored 35. India were bowled out for 367.

From the West Indies bowling side, it was Holder who took 5 wickets, Gabriel got 3 and Wallican got 2 wickets.

2nd Innings

Currently it is the West Indies team who is battiing now. They have got 68 runs scored at a loss of 5 wickets.
