Eminem’s New Album Kamikaze Creates Storm

Eminem’s new album is out. Kamikaze is its name and it contains a wide variety of rap songs. The album was released without any prior notice. The only thing that was given was by Eminem was a tweet saying, “tried not 2 overthink this 1.”

Kamikaze in one phrase is a no bullshit return to the basics. It is now quickly rising to the top of the charts after its surprise release. Many of the songs in the album are at its core diss-tracks.

His rap also criticizes the new and famous trend of mumble rapping. Famous rappers like Drake and Lil’ Punk have been referenced in his raps. The album feels like a one-man crusade against the massive takeover of the music industry by mumble rappers.

His last outing, Revival was not greeted well by critics. Kamikaze was forgiven for not being as bad as Revival. Fans are currently divided on whether to side with Eminem or with the other side of rappers who have criticised his rap style.

This even includes his friend turned rival, Joe Budden. He previously heavily criticised Revival in one of his podcasts. Eminem dissed on this matter in his new album. This has reignited the fire between the two rappers. Joe Budden went as far as saying that he had been better than Eminem for the entire decade.

Even through all the backlash, it is getting, Kamikaze is steadily making its way to the Number 1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200 chart. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week.

Eminem has relapsed, he has recovered and he has been revived. The Kamikaze comeback came out of nowhere and has questioned the skills of a large part of the music industry. There will always be divided fans and critics. But what do you think about the issues he has raised and his music?
