India after losing the first two test matches were thrashed badly by the Indian media and on social media as well, especially Hardik Pandya. Many said that he was not good in batting and neither good in bowling, then why is he playing in the test format. The India vs England 3rd test match resulted in India winning it comfortably by a margin of 203 runs
All Indian players in reply to them produced a more than satisfying victory over the competitors England in the India vs England 3rd test. Hardik Pandya who was targeted the most showed a sensational performance throughout the match and proved why he should remain a part of the team.
In the beginning, England won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian openers K.L. Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan opened to a solid 50 run + partnership and then it was Captain Virat Kohli and the Vice Captain Ajinkya Rahane who took India to a total of 329 in the first innings.
In reply England couldn’t do much as it was Hardik Pandya who took five of their wickets in just 6 overs. They got out at 161.
Again in the 2nd innings India was off to a fantastic start by the openers and finally Virat Kohli was able to score his century which he missed by 3 runs in the first innings. India declared at 352-7 with a quick 52 off 52 from Hardik Pandya.
England had a total of 524 runs to chase. They lost four wickets at 84 and then somehow Jose Butler and Ben stokes tried to steady the innings and save the match but eventually toppled when Bumrah came into action and took 5 wickets to bowl England out and get a massive victory of over 203 runs.
This victory is a very important victory as the Indian team’s morale and confidence would be cloud high with such a good batting bowling combination and performances by all. Such good performances are a tight slap in the face of those who criticised them after the two tests. To win the series India now has to win just two more games and if they want to tie it at least one game has to be won and the other to be drawn.
