This New Year vows to give up electronic media and spend some more time reading. Reading is something that might save your life one day. Even if such a situation does not arise, reading is one of the best habits that one can inculcate. It increases your attention span and enriches your mind and soul. People who read tend to be more hardworking and successful than those who don’t.
A great New Year resolution is to exercise daily. The busy lifestyle of today leaves little to no time for this activity. However, exercise is highly beneficial for your health. A person who exercises on a regular basis has a high chance of preventing diseases like type 2 diabetes and cancer. Regular exercises have been scientifically proven to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Moreover, exercise is a great stress buster and a great stress buster is something that we all need.
Let’s be very clear. Smoking and drinking is in no way cool or a sign of wealth or “being cool”. It is a bad habit that degrades the health and is essentially a slow poison. This becomes an addiction even before a person realises it. As the year changes, it gives us an opportunity to take some great New Year resolutions. Taking a solo trip helps you discover yourself. It also provides one with a getaway from the exhausting life of the current age. If you are taking a solo trip then it is preferable you go to the mountains with clean air. However, any place that you find calm and relaxing will do. It will be a once in a lifetime experience and you will learn a lot of things about yourself.
Yes, this might sound very prude and school like but is a brilliant strategy to achieve success. Successful people are often those who are disciplined in every aspect of their life. A timetable helps you achieve just that. However, making a timetable is not enough. If you want to achieve discipline then it is very important that you follow the timetable religiously. If you manage to uphold this resolution then you can be guaranteed of eventual success.
